Welcome to Canadian Operating Room Leadership Network (CORL) CORL is a volunteer network of perioperative leaders established in 1999 for the purpose of advancing leadership education, sharing of expert resource information to obtain best practice information and support for leadership decisions.  A secure email system facilitates coast to coast information exchange. Perioperative leaders include committed registered nurses from the point of patient care, education, supervisory, managerial and director roles. CORL is an affiliate member of Operating Room Nurses Association of Canada (ORNAC) and holds one Board position as of November 2005. CORL members participate in ORNAC Standards development and competency statements. CORL provides a web Reference Library using a summary of pertinent administrative and clinical principles, current practice including diverse opinions and perhaps controversy. Evidence based resources and reference materials are used whenever possible. CORL sponsors leadership education at the biennial ORNAC National Conferences. CORL sponsors leadership seminars. CORL members contribute regularly to the Canadian Operating Room Nursing Journal.
